KINGOROOTS is: FABIAN: drums, vocals / FISH LOPEZ: guitar, vocals / HerbMed: keyboards CARLITOS: keyboards / Issar: bass, vocals / KING: vocals, guitar
BIOGRAPHY KING, Chilean born on November 25, 1975 in Santiago - Chile, in which he lived, in principle, only two months . Then, she spent her childhood in the city of Manaus / Amazonas - Brazil until age 2 years, moving then to the city of São Paulo where he lived until age 19. During this period, began to demonstrate their gifts in music, began playing guitar at age 8. At age 12 he composed his first song "Anthares" which was recorded by the legendary band Anthares São Paulo (his brother Cristian E.) in album "Do not limit da forza." It was in the city of Sao Paulo, rich in cultural diversity, where he met reggae music through the influence of his friend Cassio B., who first showed him the album Kaya by Bob Marley. The love of Reggae grew and after seeing for the first time a reggae show (nothing more, nothing less than Yelowman) made Kingo ultimately embrace the music style and started to compose his first songs to reggae (Jah is my friend and Rastafari live, 1990, I thought no tempo, 1991). Then he saw live great exponents of reggae like Black Uhuru, Aswad, Cidade Negra, Gilberto Gil which allowed him to see where my point. Not knowing what fate prepared for him, came to live in Chile in 1992 and eventually order to reveal the path. In 1994 he met one of the few reggae bands in the country, the band still little known, Gondwana. The first contact was fruitful and in 1995, Kingo founded his first band "The Roots", consisting of Don Guy (drums), I-locks (bass), Mauricio (percussion) and King (vocals, guitar) who tested the above issues, among others. They were times of change and I-locks invites you to become part of his band, Gondwana, although at that time King did not accept it. The road divides and Kingo is dedicated to the composition and veterinary medicine career. Reggae calls and knows that is what feeds the soul, then, brotherhood appears and in 1998 formed Bongoroots, which was founded by Daniel Riquelme (bass), Jorge Jimenez (guitar), Rodrigo Quickman (drums), Leo dread (drums), Herbman (keyboards) and King (vocals, guitar) also in its history were Nicolás, Rodrigo, Osvaldinho and Jean. The greatest achievement was the participation of the band's first mass Reggae festival, the Natural Mystic, which was the first band to play (against 20 000 people) have a great acceptance. Despite this, the chances of playing live were slim for many reasons, why King decided to build two other reggae bands. One of them was the 56 the Jah bless, banda Covers made of various performances in clubs and hotels (Valle Nevado) and was formed by Fabian C., Bongo-I, polyimides, Pancho Safari and Kingo. It was time, the debut, a difficult mission because King had just 2 days to learn some of the letters would have to sing for the first time with Gondwana. Had to renew the passport, then !!!!. Fortunately, (with the help of Jah) the passport was obtained in a day and the concert in the city of Chimbote (Peru) to 5 thousand people turned out wonderful, bringing peace to the entire band. Then he developed the story we all already know, recitals throughout the country and the international projection of the band. Numerous visits to various countries such as Peru, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, besides conquering the old continent, with concerts in Finland and Sweden. Were experienced great moments of personal growth and group sharing the stage with such great exponents of Reggae Los Cafres, Cultura Profetica, Steel Pulse, Marley Kimany, Eka Mouse, Pablo Molina, Cafu Banton, Roots and culture, Tierra Sur, Iration among others. Besides artists like Joe Vasconcellos, Vicentico, Elephant Man and TOK As records, two records released, Grow (2004) and Resilient (2007). In addition, participation in other project records as mono (item Remi) and Green Album (item Lady Madonna) Forever loving Jah Finally a number of reasons Kingo decided to leave the band permanently in 2007, dedicated to his profession Vet. Although, as the saying goes "God writes some by circuitous lines" and after some conversations with some old friends, it has the ability to record an album (with help of the brother's), which undoubtedly rekindled hope. The new band members were recruited and chosen with great care, thus forming the KINGOROOTS, gang of Fabián Carvallo (drums), César Isar Lee (bass), Charlie (keyboards), Nelson Pez Lopez (1 ° guitar), Hernan Herbman (keyboards) and King (vocals and 2nd guitar). Currently the band is in the process of recording and producing the new album called The Crown and releasing the first single "Love Me." The rehearsal room is located in the birthplace of Reggae national Pincoya and the 10th of November 2007, was conducted the first concert of the band in a charity event for the chapel of St. Norbert Macul. There are moments of great maturity and simplicity with the band very focused on work, hope, love and desire to spread and grow this kind of music that have given us so much joy. Male simple and Skipjack are titled the 2 new albums by Guillermo Bonetto and company coming out next November 15, through seal DBN.
